Perilindi is an adult female microbat who may be a Lesser Long-Eared Bat or a Southern Long Eared bat; don't ask me because I am not the expert in identifying these little ones on anatomical issues.
Little Peri found herself an inadvertent passenger in a small caravan from the Snowy Mountains (Perisher Valley) to Sydney.
When found in the caravan after the return trip she was rescued and brought into care. She will have to be returned 500 plus kilometres to her home territory when she's ready for release. We don't know if she will be fine in the next few weeks, or if she will need to be overwintered.
I named her Perilindi from her origin (PERIsher Valley and her terminus at LINDfield in Sydney = Perilindi).
