1993-2000 Mazda Vehicles DIY Car Remote Programming - Easy to Follow, Step by Step Instructions

This is a walkthrough tutorial of the on-board pairing process for your new car key/remote and the following vehicles:

🔽 Here is a list of each step with helpful timestamps 🔽

00:26 - Remove key from ignition.
00:30 - Close all doors.
00:33 - Open driver side door and leave open.
00:37 - Insert key in ignition, Turn key to on (as far as you can go without starting the engine) and off, remove key.
00:47 - Repeat step 4 two more times, making sure you remove key each time.
00:53 - Close and then open the driver's door three times. A buzz sound or chime should be heard at this point signaling that the vehicle is now in programming mode. If not, wait 40 seconds and return to step 1.
01:10 - All remotes need to be programed at this time, including the old ones.
01:16 - Push any button on a remote two times. A buzz sound to chime should be heard at this point signaling that the vehicle has accepted the new remote code.
01:26 - Repeat for next remote, up to a total of three remotes (including any old remotes).
01:32 - After all remotes are programed, wait 15 seconds or until you hear four chimes signaling successful programming.

1. At least ONE working key that starts your vehicle is required to complete this process.
2. Most programming procedures are timed. Please verify the time limit in your manual before attempting this process.
