Several new scientific studies revealed that ultra-processed food consumption is linked to a higher concentration of microplastics in the brain. Microplastics disrupt brain function and cause inflammation, thus increasing the risk for multiple mood and neurological disorders.

A diet high in whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, eggs, dairy, and meat can support brain function by introducing the necessary vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants, minimizing some of the damage from these microplastics.
