Starfield - NG+ - How to get an Alternate Universe (UPDATE IN DESCRIPTION)

So you've had it with Sarah (or Barrett, or Sam, or Andreja)? No one gets tired of VASCO, right? You're going to skip the Main Quest anyway and race to the Unity again?

What's the next step in New Game Plus?

Find an Alternate Universe and face the unknown. There are 10 variations on the standard NG+ universe, nine where Constellation is largely missing and one normal universe with a familiar twist.

This video walks through the method I've used to consistently generate Alternate Universes in Starfield NG+.

POST MARCH 2024 UPDATE: This has been tested after the March 2024 update and it still works. It took me 10 attempts to get an Alternate Universe (angry Andreja!).

UPDATE: An autosave is created when you hit the Starborn Guardian. It's not marked "Autosave", but it is game generated. Based on a tip in the comments (thanks Matthew!), I reloaded that save 20 times and it did eventually spawn an alternative universe. Assuming that is just accidental RNG difference (vs. watching the cut scenes), that should be FASTER in most cases.

POST MAY 2024 UPDATES:

1. I've tested this after the May 2024 update and it still works.

2. You don't need to restore all the way back to before entering the Unity unless you are trying to re-roll your Starborn armor.

3. Some viewers have reported they aren't getting alternate universes IF it's there FIRST time through the Unity, i.e. it's NG+1 for them. It's possible (not confirmed by me) that Bethesday has put their thumb on the RNG to make sure everyone goes through the Lodge and deals with Constellation at least once in NG+.
