Health issues for those incarcerated with risk factors for progression to active disease can be as much as 15 times higher than in the community due to many factors. Documentation of clinical and programmatic challenges in correctional facilities abound in most articles and evaluations around TB and corrections. Challenges include identification and diagnosis of TB disease, case management, contact investigation and continuity of care both in the facility and when returning to the community. Public health has worked with correctional facilities for many years attempting to overcome many of these challenges and will continue to develop collaborative relationships. This webinar will be one example of identification and diagnosis of TB disease challenges through to completion of therapy using case examples and interactive discussions
