I've been an artist since I could hold a pencil, long before I studied Mathematics & Physics. As a scientist, those art skills have benefitted me greatly in being able to present & promote my scientific work to the masses. The goal of these workshops is to teach scientists some basic skills in using Adobe Illustrator and free open-source Blender (www.blender.org/) in order to make beautiful, eye-catching scientific figures & scientific artwork.
