Rayirath Gardens is situated in eight acres in the valley of Vellani Mala of Pananchery Panchayath, the agricultural warehouse of Thrissur. By giving dreams and substance to many farmers it is poised to become one of the best nurseries in India. Sudhakaran Rayirath is a botany graduate belongs to the famous Rayirath family, a well known traditional farmer clan. He has farming experience of more than thirty years. The effort behind making Rayirath gardens as one of the hi-tech nurseries in India is remarkable. These efforts were recognised by several organisations in India and abroad. The important ones are: Punarnava Award-Oiska International, Japan. Best Award- Govt. Ayurveda Medical Officers Association. Adaraniyam Award- Thrissur Pouravali,Gandhi Award-by Mahathma Gandhi Peace Foundation. Herbal gardens designed by Mr. Sudhakaran in several universities, colleges and schools have opened a new arena in educational curriculum. He has also published a farm guide to assist the farmers.
