The addition of highly effective modulator therapies (HEMTs), namely Elexacaftor/Ivacaftor/Tezacaftor (Trikafta), has presented nutrition challenges in people with cystic fibrosis. This workshop examines current research on HEMTs and how they relate to nutrition status in people with CF. Speakers discuss changes in the gastrointestinal microbiome, inflammation, absorption, and growth parameters as a result of Trikafta use.
