The New Delhi World Book Fair 2026 emerged as a vibrant nine-day celebration of knowledge, culture, and patriotism, with a special focus on the bravery and legacy of the Indian Armed Forces. For the first time, free entry encouraged wider public participation as over 1,000 publishers from 35+ countries, 600 events, and thousands of speakers came together to celebrate literature and ideas. Inaugurated by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan alongside cultural ministers from Qatar and Spain, the fair highlighted India’s military history, valor, and wisdom at 75, showcasing major operations, heroic stories, and the sacrifices of Param Vir Chakra awardees. The theme aimed to inspire young minds with values of leadership, discipline, and national pride, reaffirming the power of books to strengthen a nation through courage and knowledge.
