SIHS Hosts BIE/NAAF MOU Signing Ceremony

The Native American Agricultural Fund (NAAF) is a private trust that provides grants to support Native American farmers and ranchers. In order to engage the full potential of the Native American Agricultural sector NAAF recently partnered with the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) to strengthen nationwide the development, integration, and implementation of culturally relevant supplemental agricultural educational material within BIE schools. The memorandum of understanding (MOU) for this partnership was signed on May 29, 2024 at Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California. Signing for the Bureau of Indian Education was Director Tony Dearman (Cherokee Nation) and for The Native American Agricultural Fund was Chief Executive Officer Toni Stanger-McLaughlin, JD (Colville)
