If you're ready to permanently delete your Tinder account and erase all associated data, it's important to follow the correct steps within the app to ensure your information is fully removed. Simply uninstalling the app from your device does not delete your account or personal data—Tinder will continue to store your profile unless you complete the official deletion process through your account settings.

Begin by opening the Tinder app and logging into your account. Once inside, tap on the profile icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen to access your account dashboard. From there, tap the gear icon in the top right to open the Settings menu.

Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the Settings page until you see the option labeled 'Delete Account.' Tap on this, and Tinder will prompt you with a confirmation screen. You’ll be asked to either 'Pause' or 'Delete' your account. Choosing 'Pause' will hide your profile but keep your data, so be sure to tap 'Delete My Account' to proceed with full deletion.

Next, Tinder may ask you to select a reason for leaving. You can choose one or skip this step using the 'Skip' button in the top right. Finally, confirm your choice by tapping 'Delete My Account' again.

Once completed, your account and associated data—including matches, messages, and profile info—will be permanently removed from Tinder’s servers. If you subscribed to Tinder Plus, Gold, or Platinum through the App Store or Google Play, be sure to cancel your subscription separately, as deleting your account does not automatically end billing.
