How to make Braided Peach Streusel Pie:
I love fruity desserts during the summer. There is something about a light flaky crust bursting with seasonal fruits that makes for the perfect summer afternoon snack. With a dollop of ice cream, whipped cream or crème fraiche, you can never miss!

Ingredients:
6 tablespoons semi-salted butter
1 ½ cups all-purpose (or whole wheat) flour
½ cup brown sugar
1 to 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 can of sliced Peaches
1 package of Pillsbury pie crusts
additional butter for brushing

Method:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees (F). Make streusel by melting the butter and adding it to a large mixing bowl. Stir in the flour sugar and cinnamon with a fork, until evenly distributed. Set aside. Remove the two pie crusts from the packaging. Place the two crusts side by side with an overlap. Using a rolling pin, gently press together the overlap to create a large rectangular shape. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Place the pie crust on the baking tray. Sprinkle some of the streusel mix into the center of the pie crust. Place the peaches evenly on top of the streusel mix. Sprinkle more streusel mix on top of the peaches. Cut strips about 1 inch thick along either side of the center where the peaches and streusel are placed. Gently wrap the strips into a braid shape up and over the peach and streusel mix. With a pastry brush, brush the dough lightly with the additional butter. Sprinkle more streusel mix over top of the braid (you will probably have some streusel mix leftover. You can conserve it in a tupperware in the refrigerator for alternate recipes, or freeze it). Bake in the oven for 18 minutes (or until the crust is lightly golden brown). Serve with whipped cream or Crème Fraiche.
