Fashion Square Mall may have offered a modern an inviting Dead Mall atmosphere, Bay City had the chlorinated fever dream feel to it, but a few miles to the west lies a whole different ballgame. While sunlight fills the atmosphere and tropical trees cool off the tender glossy tiles that cover the floor, shoppers are left to a mall with a flailing feel. But maybe just maybe, while I walk through here, you can find an ounce of what life was once like for the residents of Midland, Michigan. So join me today as we tell the story and take a walk through Midland Mall, tell its story, and see where it’s going for this once great 90s mall.
