Kacang Sangrai are #peanuts fried in hot #sand without the use of oil. Our #kacangsangrai are cooked in soil collected close to #candisari temple on our ground of ohmmstay.

We started to build a bed and planted the seeds around 3 month ago. After harvesting the peanuts they are dried for a week before we fry them in hot sand in a #wok.

Sand has low heat capacity and when the nuts are fried, the sand takes only a small amount of the heat. So all benefits goes to the nuts.

The raw nuts are an excellent plant based source of protein and high in vitamins and minerals.
