Tying down your ATV or Side by Side can often be an afterthought. Something you rush to do as you hurry out the door from sheer excitement to get to the trails. Unfortunately, that is not a good method, and while there is a good chance it will be fine, there is also a chance it won't be. Tieing down your ATV or Side by Side is sort of like locking it up when not in use. Sure it will probably still be there when you go to get on it, but there is always that slight chance it won't be.

Since I was already installing some new e track on this aluminum trailer, I decided it was time to show you (what I consider) to be the best way to tie down Your ATV or Side by Side. That way, next time you are trying to get on the road for ride day, you will hopefully have a good method for keeping your machine secured.

There are a few reasons I like this method for tying down our machines. First off, if properly installed, e-track is an extremely versatile system that allows you to tie your machine down in various ways. The second reason I really love this method is because of how quickly and easily it allows you to secure your machine. With this e track, I am easily able to drive our machines right up onto the trailer and quickly runs some straps over the tire and to the e track.

The last thing I want to mention quickly on this setup is that I installed e track on an aluminum trailer. This method can work great when done properly however, you have to be careful when using different types of metals and aluminum together. That is why you will notice in this video we used things like rubber and sealant paint to assist in creating barriers between the e track and aluminum trailer. If you plan on doing this method, check out the link above for the step by step instructions. I hope this was helpful and as always, I hope to see you on the trail!
