**Lenchina is an old Sri Lankan drama song originally made for the "Jasa Lenchina Kolama" The song depicts a poor brother and sister, where the brother is singing to his sister who washes the clothes of the village people to earn a living **

This was a song created originally for the 1955 romantic musical film "Seda Sulan" produced by Thambiraja Somasekaran for Ceylon Films Limited. The film starring Florida Jayalath and Prem Jayanth in lead roles whereas Dommie Jayawardena and David Dharmakeerthi made supportive roles. The director T.somersekaran.

**The song is a "karathe song" depicting a group of village girls and boys going on a bull cart singing to each other in a mocking/teasing way.**
