Sakura Gakuin | さくら学院 - "Hana*Hana" (SG☆2019~HX~) (JPN, ROM, ENG Subs)

The 5th song in SG's "Songs that Make You Smarter" series, a series of educational songs about various topics. It was originally recorded and performed by the 2013 nendo.

This one is about flowers, and I'm pretty sure I learned more about flowers working on this video than what I did when I was in school, so yeah 😅
The "hana"s in the title stand for the romanized form of the Japanese word for flower: "花". It's stylized as "Hana*Hana", with the asterisk in the middle representing a flower petal.

On my book, a cute song with a catchy melody, especially on the chorus. However, that breakdown blew my mind the moment I heard it 🤯
It just rocks. It's sooo good and it doesn't feel out of place at all, and it all gets 100x better when you realize they are literally rapping flower names 😂
The buildup that follows it fits so, so well and really does a great job of setting the tone for the chorus - same with the bridge before the clímax near the song's end 🎵
All this makes it another of my personal favorites.
