JOE LONGTHORNE MBE 'MY DAY AT THE PALACE ' DECEMBER 2012

Joe was awarded a MBE for services to charity in the Queens Diamond Jubilee Birthday Honours List in June 2012. Joe's investiture took place on Thursday 13 December 2012 at Buckingham Palace and this documentary was made to mark this prestigious and cherished event in Joe's incredible life. The film follows Joe on the morning of the investiture, the journey to Buckingham Palace with his husband Jamie and the actual award of a MBE from HRH The Prince of Wales. Afterwards a very proud and delighted Joe spoke to press and TV before rounding off the day at the world famous 'Hippodrome Casino' Leicester Square, formerly 'The Talk of the Town'. The film ends with warm congratulations from Cannon and Ball, Roy Walker, Mick Miller, Ken Dodd, Roy 'Chubby' Brown ,Engelbert Humperdinck and Don Black.
