It holds up in our poke tests really well but is made of a whole piece of aluminum, so it will add some weight all around.

UAG is known for their military grade protection and they deliver general tabletop protection as well as from light drops.

But I'd say it comes down to whether you like the look that UAG provides, with the military inspired details, the edges did bother my during usage as it dug into my skin.
