On October 14, 1995, the longest 5th Quarter ever took place at The Vet. The Jackson State University Sonic Boom of the South and the Southern University Human Jukebox battled until
2:00 a.m. the following day.

Stadium lights were turned out at midnight, and both bands were locked inside the venue to continue battling. According to most accounts, both bands played over 80 songs that day.
