02.17.2019 | 2:32 AM | SANTA ANA – Four people were killed after a suspected DUI driver ran a red light, Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to the two-car crash near the intersection of Fourth Street and Tustin Avenue around 2:32 AM.

Crews arriving on scene located both vehicles on their roof with four victims trapped in the wreckage. All four victims were determined to be deceased on scene.

A fifth victim, the reported driver of one vehicle, was located and treated on scene before being transported to OC Global Medical Center.

Officers investigating the crash determined through surveillance footage that the hospitalized driver had ran a red-light before crashing into the second vehicle and killing each its occupants.

Further investigation determined that the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.

Investigators placed arrested the sole survivor, identified as 28-year-old Vincent Michael Calvo of Buena Park, under arrest on suspicion of felony DUI and four counts of murder.

Calvo remains jailed in lieu of $4 million dollar bail.
