This is the LEGO Custom Brickheadz of Rick Hunter in the Stunt Pilot suit that he used at the beginning of the first season of the Robotech series, The Macross Saga. Rick Hunter was the main character of that first part of this series launched in 1985 by Harmony Gold, adapted from several japanese anime series (Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross and Genesis Climber Mospeada).

As an AFOL that grew up in the 80s, the Robotech series was one of my favourite science fiction animated series, and obviously, Rick Hunter adventures got me hooked to the TV for years, as his legend carried on in the subsequent series. Once I started to build Custom Brickheadz, creating a series based on Robotechw as a must. Not only that, I submitted a whole set of Robotech-based Brickheadz to LEGO IDEAS to celebrate the upcoming 40th anniversary of the series:

With a potential live-action movie being rumoured, I couldn't be more excited about what Robotech still has to offer!
