A TPU paint protection film typically consists of three layers: a functional coating, a TPU base film, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. The coating process usually follows two critical stages—first applying and curing the adhesive layer, then applying the functional coating under controlled conditions to ensure proper bonding and performance stability.

We walk through six widely used coating methods in the PPF industry, including gravure coating, slot die coating, comma coating, hybrid slot-die & comma coating, gravure printing coating, and reverse roll coating.
