Firstly, apologies for the long absence (by my usual standards anyway). Taking advantage of a rare sunny and crisp weather window I chose to return to my local moors, walking in a landscape where, millennia ago, Mesolithic hunter-gatherers would spend their summers and in more recent times, where old moormen would live their lonely lives on the moor-edge.
