Today on #VoicesofHope, our guest courageously shares her journey through the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

She was a successful businesswoman in her twenties. Before 1994, women typically married very young, but she focused on building her career and got engaged in her late twenties. Unfortunately, her fiancé was killed. Prior to her engagement, she had attracted interest from various men, some of whom held grudges against her.
Those hutu men raped her multiple times, and they kept on telling her : Aren’t you the one who rejected us before?

Despite the trauma, she found the strength to rebuild her life.
She forged a new path, choosing not merely to survive but to live.
