It's Halloween week, and we are so excited to share "Fairy Science: Solid, Liquid, Gassy" by Ashley Spires! Esther is a fairy who believes in science and the book chronicles her investigation of the three states of matter (solids, liquids, and gasses). She's on a mission to get her fellow fairies excited about science too - will she succeed?

We asked kids to do 3 things while we read:
To think about what makes Esther different from other fairies,
To list the steps of the scientific method, which Esther and her friends use to solve the mystery of the disappearing pond, and
To tell us how the pond disappeared!

For this week's Rosie Reads project, we want you to use the scientific method to figure out a question or problem. Get into the spirit of Halloween and choose something spooky! And be sure to tell us what you chose in the comments!
