On 3 January 2020, United States launched an air strike to kill the leader of Iranian Quds Force Qasem Soleimani who was involved in waging a bloody civil war in Iraq and Syria and destabilizing the region. Iran responded with a series of attacks against commercial ships in the Gulf, attacks on Saudi oil installations, and attacks on U.S. troops in Iraq.
We must understand the Iranian regime’s ambitions and how it uses IRGC against targets all over the world. In the last 40 years, IRGC is involved in bombings from Argentina to Thailand, hijacking of the planes, hostage taking, and spreading extremism in the Middle East. IRGC has recruited, trained, and armed the most deadly terrorist groups in the Middle East including Hezbollah and Iraqi Militias.
In addition to global terrorism, Iranian Regime has used IRGC against its own citizens; Iranian guards killed 1500 protesters during the anti-regime demonstrations in November 2019.

There are clear actions governments now take to counter this growing problem with IRGC at it roots.
