This is a hunt that I'd wanted to re-visit since I was making videos of the Open Beta version of Monster Hunters Wilds. I'd made this video here:    • Sword & Shield VS Alpha Doshaguma - Monste...   Pitting my at-the-time Sword & Shield skills up against the Open Beta version of the Alpha Doshaguma. While the video reflects my knowledge of the game at the time it was made, I felt I could do better.

So here we are - Round 2. While I had initially saved a few Alpha Doshaguma investigations and began to film a few hunts... things just didn't feel right. Despite the Alpha technically being stronger than the standard Doshaguma, I was still taking it down fairly quickly, and the scale of the fight just didn't feel as grand. As a result - the stakes just didn't feel high like they were in my original Beta Test video. So... I decided to move up the food chain.

Enter... The Tempered Doshaguma. While technically not the most difficult monster, it's still a walking tank that can easily shred your health, and it has a LOT of hit points. This particular hunt that you're seeing here ended up giving me the same type of rush that I felt when I fought the Alpha in the Beta Test. This just felt like a brawl as opposed to a refined sparring match. And as soon as I played back the footage, I knew that I'd found the hunt that I was chasing.

Yes, I make mistakes. Yes, I get get hit. Yes, this is not always the most technical gameplay... But... Yes! I had a great time making this!
