An audience recording of the world premiere of Terry Riley's 'The Slaving Wheel of Meat Conception', which is partially an ensemble arrangement of his pioneering 1965 minimalist work 'Keyboard Study No. 2.' The title of the work is derived from the Jack Kerouac poem "211th Chorus."

Performed by Terry Riley, the avant-garde ensemble Alter Ego, electronic music duo Matmos, and double bassist Stefano Scodanibio.
Recorded live at the Sala Santa Cecilia in Rome on November 2nd 2006.
