Inside Of You Bass Cover

Описание к видео Inside Of You Bass Cover

And once again, a video of me, playing a bass cover of myself. It doesn’t get any more narcissistic than this.

“Inside Of You” was the first original I played with Eric, Mark, and Lou, in a band called Crisis. We recorded two collections of material during the time we were together. When I joined the band, the majority of the first batch of songs had been written. This was one of those songs. Eric did a great job recording and mixing both collections but I think the first, self-titled recording, “Crisis”, sounded far more primitive and “demo-like” than the second recording. Both recordings were done on a Fostex or Tascam reel to reel, 1/4” tape machine that required the “bouncing down” of tracks and all sorts of other fun stuff that was the norm when recording in the dark ages. The mixing was done on a regular old live-application mixing board, probably a 12 channel Peavey or something similar to that. I’ve always thought the second group of songs sounded a bit more polished both in terms of recording as well as writing.

I’m playing a mid 80’s Ibanez Roadstar ii RB850 just like the one I played when I was playing and recording with Crisis. I really do love these basses, so much so, that I got the second, purple one that I did the “Roll The Bones” cover with. We recorded this song around 1990-91 so I think you’ll definitely hear more than a little influence from the “Roll The Bones/Presto” albums in my playing on this song.

Anyway, as I said with the last Crisis cover, I got the ok from the guys to make the music available for download, so, if you hear something you like, please feel free to take it for yourself or share it with someone else you think may like it.
