3 fully-mixable mic sets that include a pair of condenser mics, a stereo ribbon mic and a floor-mounted PZM mic, will provide users will lots of flexibility with the piano sounds. All 24 presets have their own distinct tonal characteristics from bell-like timbral augmentations with tacked hammers to radical sustains by way of bow and eBow, to percussive sounds from brush and stick strikes to plucks with a guitar pick and finger.

What I like about Augmented Piano is that UVI clearly, and quite literally, thought outside of the box with this instrument. Do we really need another traditional sounding piano VI? I doubt we do. Personally, I like keyboard instruments that have edge and personality, Augmented Piano has both of those attributes in spades!
