Bickmore has been in the leather care game since 1882 and their leather conditioner swears up and down it won’t change the color of your leather. What happens?

INGREDIENTS

There’s no real info on the ingredients besides the fact that it’s wax free and contains emulsifiers, conditioners, and moisturizers.

APPLICATION

Clean the boots first, wait for them to dry, then shake up your Bick 4.

Pour a liberal amount of Bick 4 onto a cloth for cleaning leather (I use this one https://amzn.to/2LAmhFK) and work it into all the creases.

Wait an hour and add another coat if you need to.

If you want to increase the water resistance, apply Gard More https://amzn.to/2DQyAaG

PRICE

This is just $1 per ounce, making it just about the cheapest conditioner on the market, on par with Lexol. For comparison’s sake, Venetian Shoe Cream is about $3 an ounce and Saphir’s Renovateur is about $10 an ounce.

Pros
• Doesn’t darken
• Inexpensive
• Makes leather supple and pliant
• Wax free (if that matters)

Cons
• Not much of a shine
• Doesn’t penetrate very deeply (so it needs more frequent applications)
• Not great for water resistance
• Good, but not great at removing scuffs
