Let’s say that you need to enter a degree symbol in a cell in excel, such as in this example in cell A2. To do this, left click on the cell, here, cell A2, so it is highlighted.

From here, go to the insert tab near the top of the worksheet. Next, in the symbols tab, near the top of the worksheet, left click on the symbol icon and a pop up box will appear, as you see here. In the box, scroll down till you find the degree symbol, as you see I have done here. Then left click on the symbol, and then left click on Insert, and you can see it has been entered into the cell. Then left click on close, and it’s completed.
