What to Sow in August for an abundance of winter vegetables

Описание к видео What to Sow in August for an abundance of winter vegetables

in todays episode I show you what to sow in August. What to sow in August will ensure you have leafy greens all through winter and spring. From kale's to cabbages. there's nothing better than a fresh vegetables throughout those cold months. The No-dig raised beds don't necessarily need to be 'put to sleep' for winter..they can be used.
I also harvest an abundance of polebeans aka runnerbeans. The trug was full to the brim

I also discuss the failures in the polytunnel including the tomatoes. It's been a disaster of a season for tomatoes.. never mind.

On the positive note, the flowers are all in full bloom now. The dahlias and sunflowers and sweetpeas.

As mentioned I used my containerwise module trays, filled with good compost and sowed all my winter brassicas & coriander for leafy goodness in those cold months. They will hopefully germinate in the greenhouse and will be potted on in the next few months.

I decided to move the French beans I've grown in 30litre buckets outside to benefit from the goodness of the rain. If the weather gets cooler, I can also move them back into the glass house..
