TNO-style Russian Unification Super Event Compilation (HOI4 Beyond Earth Preview)

Here's another surprise: a super event compilation for the various Russian factions in HOI4 Beyond Earth mod (   / hoi4_beyond_earth_the_un   ), which also incorporates elements of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, and some inspirations from TNO.

Centuries ago, the Earth was a planet of verdant greenery, populated by millions of diverse beings, bountiful in natural resources and beauty. Then the Great Mistake brought the Golden Ages to an abrupt end. 200 years of Dark Ages followed. Entire countries were swallowed by the rising tides, ancient peoples were erased from existence, swept away by the churning abyss of history. Once proud nations fell to ruin, engulfed in pointless wars, while their own homes burned. Thus the same happened to Russia, splintered between the nascent Eurasian Union and the lingering embers of those seeking the revival of the older republican order...and much more.

It should be noted that though the super events are done using the TNO UI, these are NOT how the final mod will like. Nor are the details in the super events set in stone. Nonetheless, the key players are very much the ones that will eventually be playable.

For some trivia, the majority of images used are from various Russian sci-fi artists on their country's future, from realistic to gritty cyberpunk and Sovietwave, along with some Alpha Centauri and Soviet art for good measure. If you listen closely, you'll also catch a whiff of Yuri Gagarin's historic launch, as well as Boris Yeltsin's actual Victory Day speech in 1998 (    • Russian Anthem - 9th May 1998 Victory...   ). Coincidentally, the memorial to Yeltsin is an actual monument in Yekaterinburg. The ending clips are taken not only from the Russian version of "Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth" (    • Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Eart...   ), but also from the mod itself (    • HOI4 Beyond Earth mod: Animated Loadi...   ).
