Faiz al-Mawaid al-Burhaniyah :
A groundbreaking initiative that saw the establishment of community kitchens in towns and cities in different parts of the world where members of the Dawoodi Bohra community reside, the Faiz al-Mawaid al-Burhaniyah programme was established with one overarching objective: to provide at least one wholesome and nutritious meal a day to every community household.
To ensure that not a single community member goes hungry, Saifuddin has actively expanded the worldwide community kitchen scheme, named Faiz al-Mawaid al-Burhaniyah. Every day, a Tiffin or Thali consisting of a fully prepared and cooked meal is delivered to each Dawoodi Bohra community household free of cost.
To reduce food wastage, Saifuddin introduced a regulation to strictly limit the number of dishes served in any community, social or personal gathering where Dawoodi Bohras are present. This was launched under the motto of ek kharaas, ek mithaas, no israaf (one savoury, one dessert and no wastage). Approximately 7000 Dana Committee volunteers world-wide are tasked with eliminating food wastage at community dinners.
There is no deed greater than feeding the hungry Said Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him.
These words continue to resonate in the hearts of the members of the Dawoodi Bohra community to this day
Food offers more than mere nutritional value and good health. Islam teaches that food is a divine blessing, the grateful acceptance of which is a form of worship.
Sharing food, moreover, is a way of taking care of the vulnerable, bridging societal gaps and bringing the community together. The spirituality inherent in hosting another for a meal or providing food to others, therefore, qualifies it as one of the noblest of deeds.
Currently benefits over 135,000 households in 869 cities worldwide.Relies on over 7,000 volunteers alongside paid staff. Funded by voluntary donations from community members.Unifies the community regardless of social or economic status.Delivers fresh, nutritious meals daily.

The tradition is traced back to the Prophet Mohammed’s peace be upon him forefathers and descendents.

His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, said
There is no prayer more powerful than the prayer that emanates from someone whose hunger has been satiated for the person who has provided the meal.
