Windows of the World werd geschreven door componist Peter Graham voor Nigel Boddice en The Royal Norwegian Navy Band. Graham neemt de luisteraar achtereenvolgens mee naar Amerika, Japan en Afrika. Alvorens we aankomen in de smeltkroes van alle stijlen, de Verenigde Staten van Amerika, kunnen we eerst een nostalgische toespeling op de Britse Eilanden beluisteren. In het laatste deel stopt de stuwende swingsectie plotseling en brengt een cadens in de drums ons terug naar de Latijns-Amerikaanse muziekstijl uit de opening met daarin ook verwijzingen naar andere stijlen.

Het werk bestaat uit zes delen. Aan dit werk zijn tussen de delen improvisaties toegevoegd. Floris van der Kooij arrangeerde het werk voor fanfare.

Windows of the World was written by composer Peter Graham for Nigel Boddice and the Royal Norwegian Navy Band. Graham takes the listener from America, to Japan and Africa. Before we land in the melting pot of all styles, the USA, we are given a gentle reprieve via a nostalgie hint of the British Isles. In the final movement the driving swing section is abruptly stopped and a drum cadenza leads us back into the opening Latin music, with hints to other styles as well.

The piece consists of six parts. Between the parts of this work are added own improvisations. Floris van der Kooij arranged this piece tor fanfare band.
