In today’s global art world, Latin American art is having a moment and a number of artists with Latin American and Hispanic roots are under a spotlight. Curators, gallerists and collectors play an important role and are key to defining the future of many young and established artists.

Venezuelan gallerist (adhesivo contemporary) and collector Edith Vaisberg, led a conversation with PAMM’s (Perez Art Museum) Curator Maritza Lacayo and Colombian collector, Leon Amitai. The dialogue centered on the different roles that each one of them play in the community, to ensure that the work of Latin American artists is getting the recognition it deserves as well as support from both institutional and private entities. Speakers provided the audience with resources, tips and a historical framework, while encouraging the audience to learn more about Latin American culture through its art.
