In the snowy stillness of Whoville,
Cindy Lou and Betty Lou stumble upon a surprise —
a green baby in a basket, alone in the snow. 👶❄️🎁
They bring him home,
wrap him in warmth,
and gently ask:
“Do you want a Christmas cookie?” 🍪❤️
The baby looks up…
and says his first word loud and clear:
“Santa.” 🎅✨
Shocked and delighted,
they hand him a festive cookie plate.
He doesn’t nibble.
He devours it. Plate and all. 😳🍽️
But childhood isn’t all sweetness.
As Grinch grows, so does the ridicule.
His classmates laugh at his green skin, wild hair,
and cruelly brand him “the 8-year-old hairy beast.” 😢🧒🧣
Yet in the crowd, one heart saw different —
Martha May Whovier.
She tells him she loves Christmas.
Red and green are her favorite colors.
And when she touches his cheek gently,
Grinch’s world flickers with something new: hope. 🎄💚
Love.
Pain.
A heart both bruised and blooming —
this is how the Grinch began. 🌟🩵
