Úvoz is a street in Prague, located in Malá Strana and Hradčany in Prague 1. It connects to Nerudova Street to the west and opens into Pohořelec Street. It is parallel to the Loreto and Town Hall stairs. The name comes from 1870 before it was called Hluboká cesta and before that Strahovská cesta. It's called an entrance because it used to cut into the ground. Until the 17th century, when the so-called castle ramp, which was completed in 1663 (now Ke Hradu Street leads here), was broken into the rock below the Schwarzenberg Palace, it was the main access road from the city to Prague Castle. The length of the street is about 460 m.
