Today we're going to be reviewing part number ST56RS. This is the Optronics 6 Function Tail Light. It is submersible. It's designed for trailers over eighty inches in width. This is going to be for the passenger, or right hand side, of your trailer. The six function; stop, turn, tail, rear reflect, side marker, and side reflect tail light is all included in this unit.

It's waterproof and corrosion resistant. It's going to feature a replaceable snap-on lens as well as two incandescent bulbs. The incandescent bulbs are going to sit in a shock proof socket so it's going to guarantee a long bulb life. You're going to have your side marker bulb and then your main bulb for your tail light. The replacement bulb for the side marker is going to be number 194.

The replacement bulb for the tail light is number 2057. It's a universal mount. You can see right here it's got the two slots. If we take a measurement, center on center, the distance between the two slots it's going to measure right on two inches. Mounting hardware is included. The wiring is going to contain three wires for your ground and lead wires.

The white wire's going to be your ground, brown wire is going to be for the tail lights, and then your green wire's going to be for your stop and turn signals. This light is SAE, Department of Transportation, FMVSS, and CMVSS compliant. If we take a look at the overall measurements it's going to give us an overall length of six and one-sixteenth of an inch, an overall width of three and three quarter, and then the depth is going to measure about two and one quarter of an inch. We're going to go and hook this up to our external power source that way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights that way you can see it in a low light setting. This is going to be the tail light function.

It's sending out a nice, consistent signal. Again, you have the side marker clearance light over here. You can see that little bulb burning in there. Again, tail light function and then when we apply our brakes it's going to illuminate sending out a nice, strong, consistent signal. It's also going to function as our turn signal. In the lens it's also going to feature a built-in reflex reflector material down here that runs along the bottom of the light. That's going to do it for today's review of part number ST56RS.
