Installation takes about an hour and you can complete the task yourself by using these basic hand tools: Small flat head screwdriver, a Phillips-head screwdriver, a T25 torques screwdriver, a T27 torques screwdriver, a pop-clip removal tool, a 5/32 Allen socket, 3/16 Allen socket and a Ratchet wrench.

Harley riders with Boom! 1 or Boom! 2 audio systems, follow these installation steps to ensure your new Diamond Audio head unit works flawlessly (all other riders will not have to complete these steps):

How to locate your BIN code in your factory GT radio:

(1) Power on your bike to accessory power
(2) When the "Warning" screen appears on your head unit you're going to cover the mute and power button (lower right hand corner of the screen) with your thumb until the service menu appears - it'll take 5 seconds or so.
(3) When the service menu appears, you're going to select: Audio -- EQ -- then select the "i" icon for information.
(4) At this point you'll see something on the screen such as: Current EQ version: 17_OFF.bin Load new EQ?

For this example, you'd load your BIN number as 017 into the Diamond Audio radio following the instructions below the GTS radio instructions.

Before proceeding to the next step below, make sure to hit "No" on the screen.

How to locate your BIN code in your factory GTS radio:

(1) hold your finger on the power/mute button while turning on ignition
(2) hold the power/mute button until the head unit powers up into the service menu - it'll take about 10 seconds.
(3) When the service menu appears, release your finger
(4) Press Audio
(5) Press EQ
(6) Press the "i" button on the right hand side of the screen
(7) Then, your current BIN number will be displayed. It will say something like: Current EQ version: 178_OFF.bin. Load new EQ?

For this example, you'd load your BIN number as 178 into the Diamond Audioi radio following the instructions below.

Before proceeding to the next step below, make sure to hit "No" on the screen.

Now, when you have your new Diamond Audio head unit plugged into the bike and powered up, do the following:

(1) Go to the main screen
(2) Select "Motorcycle Info"
(3) Press the three horizontal dots in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
(4) Press "Vehicle Settings"
(5) Select "Amp Settings"
(6) Select "Audio System"
(7) This is the step you'll enter your BIN number found above. Tap each number the number of times for each number. So, if you wanted the code 178, you'd tap the first box 1 time, the second box 7 times and the third box 8 times. Then, hit okay.
(8) Then it will ask you to confirm your selection and then select yes.
