Elder Micah Hyde had one last Book of Mormon to give out as he returned home from his missionary service for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As luck would have it, Micah was able to give it to one of his favorite musical artists—Post Malone.
Micah’s family was eagerly awaiting his return at the St. George Regional Airport when they spotted Post Malone. They were able to exchange a few words and even grab a video of Post Malone congratulating Micah for his return.
After Micah got off the plane and reunited with his family, he got the full story of the run-in. But then, Micah’s dad spotted the singer again. Micah was able to get a picture and have a short conversation. He remembered he had that one last Book of Mormon and caught up to the singer one last time as Post Malone was about to head through security.
“I was like, ‘Post do you have one of these?’” Micah related to ABC4 News. “And he walks back out of security over to me and he’s like, ‘No I don’t,’ and I was like, ‘Here you go.’”
Micah told the media it was a great reminder to be kind and treat everyone with neighborly love.
“If Post Malone can do it — and he’s probably one of the most famous singer-songwriters out there — then I think we can all do that, and just be kind to our neighbor,” Micah said.
