It was a bit of a steep climb up the steps from the street but, we were determined to find where the source of the 'river' was and see the 'waterfall' - sadly, neither was meant to be...

Due to good weather and dry spells - up until just before we arrived in Italy, there was very little water activity to be seen.

It did offer some good views over the city of Genoa / Genova though!

It all began at NCE Airport on the Cote d'Azur before we headed into Genova by Flixbus with a 1 night stay and onwards to Rapallo (our base for 5 nights) for exploring the Cinque Terre 5 Lands coastal villages of Liguria as well as Portofino.
We returned by reverse route on the train to Genoa (staying 2 nights) and continued our journey back to Nice by rail, where we spent the last 3 days of our 11 night discovery.
