Harry Potter has had a huge impact on pop-culture, both through the books and movies. Through the years, several animated productions have honored and spoofed the Harry Potter franchise through a number of references and Easter Eggs dedicated to characters, plots, and themes. Check out some of the references you may have missed over the years!

In Shrek the Third, an innocent bird lands on a tree and gets flicked away. The same thing happens with the evil Whomping Willow tree in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. In a special promotional scene for Monsters Inc., Sully and Mike play charades and one of the answers is a very popular character from the Harry Potter series. In the film Rio 2, the characters use small nuts to play a game that combines soccer and quidditch together. In the TV movie, Jimmy Neutron: Win Lose and Kaboom, the characters play an alien species on a game show that includes a game just like Quidditch. The LEGO Batman Movie took advantage of some great movie villains, including the use of Lord Voldemort. In the Ant Bully, a number of ants perform auditions for film roles and one of them dresses as Harry Potter. Homer Simpson goes a little crazy with his pig in The Simpsons Movie and dresses him up as Harry. The LEGO Movie features a special appearance by Dumbledore alongside another powerful wizard, Gandalf. Despicable Me 2 features a laser battle that will seem very similar to Harry Potter fans. The Fairly Oddparents TV movie Wishology features some direct Harry Potter references. Watch to see all these moments and how they played out on screen!
