I spent a wonderful evening listening to mesmerizing baul songs (folk songs) by bauls at the Baul mela in Jadavpur, Kolkata.

The baul mela in Jadavpur happens every year on the 2nd weekend of January, and I try not to miss this event. I can’t seem to have enough of baul songs with its unique combination of spirituality, emotions, and impactful lyrics. I have not found this combination in any other form of music. Absolutely mesmerizing!
