Hello everyone! Something acoustic this week!

I've been wanting to cover this one for some time at this point. It's also been a little while since I've done an acoustic cover so... here we are!

My goal with this one was to make the Keves Colony theme sound a bit more alive, kinda what I did with my XC2 Garfont cover a few years ago. I always liked how in the original Xenoblade, the Colony 6 theme gets more and more cheerful and full as you rebuild it. Now, Colony 6 was in a major key to begin with, so making it sound happier as it went was easy. With Keves Colony, the song is in a minor key which means I couldn't necessary give it the same treatment and get the same kind of result, so I went for a ballad feel instead adding drums, guitar strumming, and other various instruments.

In the original song, the acoustic guitar plays arpeggiated chords throughout the song which gives the track a mellow feel. For my version, I thought it would be interesting to give the arpeggiated chords to the piano in the background which would free the guitars for some strumming instead giving it the ballad feel I wanted.

I hope you'll enjoy!

See you next time!
