This is a citizen scientist effort to simply share what we are seeing in the kelp forests. A forest that otherwise is difficult to visit. We are simply putting the images and data out for everyone to watch.
In this video log of our dive we swap out the time-lapse camera and oxygen and temperature logger off San Diego. It collected two months of images and data to share with everyone. If you want to learn more about our efforts please visit wenu.earth.
Enjoy and we hope it makes you feel a little closer to our neighbors who live just off shore. This video includes the position of the time-lapse camera as we found it and a peak at some of the time-lapse images it took and some of our 50 meter transect through the kelp beds.
