4-Day Alaska Dog-Sled Adventure! (episode 31)

After a year of growing and training, the puppies Noun and Verb join their older brothers for the biggest run of their lives.

This ain't the Iditarod, but we pull off 20-mile days and have lots left in the tank. With the dogs' help, Robbin and I complete a circumnavigation of the White Mountains Recreation Area, traveling cabin to cabin. We've done this on our own before: it was work! This time, with the dogs' help, it was a vacation. Not that everything was easy: we encounter ice, overflow, snowmachines, big climbs, and steep descents. But that wasn't the adventure. The adventure was watching the dogs work together, mile after mile, and thinking about how far we'd come this year.
