This segment approaches free will as a vast and unresolved question rather than a settled position. Much of what shapes us is inherited—psychologically as well as biologically—through generations, long before conscious choice is possible.
Beyond this inner inheritance, we are also born into environments we did not choose, including technological systems and forces far outside individual control. Within these constraints, the reflection suggests a more modest and demanding notion of free will: the willingness to engage with inherited psychological material, bring some order to it, and decide how one’s inner life is translated into action. Freedom, in this sense, may lie more in participation than in absolute autonomy.
